Background

After surviving a near-fatal accident where he was told that he might never walk or drum again, Travis Barker turned to running as a critical part of his physical and mental recovery. What began as a personal healing practice evolved into Run Travis Run, a run club rooted in community and inclusive wellness—supporting runners of all backgrounds on their individual journeys.

At Spotify, a key part of our ethos is fans first—building deeper connections between the artists people love and the passions that move them. As run clubs surge in popularity among Gen Z, this partnership presented a powerful opportunity to reinforce Spotify’s place at the intersection of health & wellness and rockstar living.

By partnering with Travis Barker we brought Run Travis Run to life through a multi-channel campaign that included a series of social films, a custom playlist curated by Travis, on-the-ground activations at races, and high-impact OOH placements. Together, we created a moment that celebrated movement, mental wellness, and the music that fuels it—all on Spotify.
